Tom Dean • March 21, 2019

Here's how different professionals offices stack up.

Overall the size of offices for professionals goes down year over year as more services are automated and less common areas are required. Let’s see how each professional’s office sizes measure up:

Lawyers: 100 SQFT (100-120 square feet for associates and 180-225 square feet for partner offices, in larger law firms, it’s not unusual for senior partners to have 400-500 square feet.)

Accountants: 150 SQFT

Engineers: 175 SQFT

Real Estate: 120 SQFT

Those are the professionals, what about some of the other famous offices:

Oval Office – White House 816 Square Feet

Warren Buffett’s office is approximately 200 sqft, and is the same office he’s used for over 50 years.

Elon Musk doesn’t have an office, preferring to work in the trenches, going where his companies need him.

Here's a few floor plans showing different sizes and how they are typically laid out.
